This week, I'm still working on the modeling of the sacred tree and trying to make some changes to the surrounding environment of the tree, because I think a simple forest alone cannot create an eerie atmosphere.
I plan to use these oddly-shaped stones to create a passage, which will not only fit the theme but also provide some guidance for the players, as it's very difficult to find the way in the forest.
Next, I attached materials to the model - this step took me a long time to figure out. The model couldn't be equipped with materials, and when exporting, only the basic lines were present and no skinning model was generated. I asked a domestic designer who is very skilled at using Blender to solve these problems, and she told me to connect the images and vectors, etc.
After importing into UE, I began to place the models, modify the terrain into a mountain shape, add fog effects, and adjust the colors, etc.
Because we wanted to incorporate elements such as the deep mountains and the ancient trees, the overall color tone is leaning towards blue. The material of the bronze tree will also have an impact on the surrounding environment in terms of color, and since it is in the deep mountains, a foggy effect is needed.
