The next part is the modeling of the Zhangjia ancient building inside the snow mountain.
The architectural design in the game should also follow the evidence of facts, so I searched a lot of materials during the modeling to enrich the completeness and accuracy of Zhangjia ancient building.
Since the setting of the novel indicates that Zhangjia Ancient Building is located in today's Guangxi region of China, but Banai County is fictional, I first searched for ancient attic buildings in Guangxi and summarized some architectural styles before making a judgment.
Guangxi region (especially the north of Guangxi, west of Guangxi) mountainous, humid climate, rich in wood resources, so the traditional architecture mainly wooden structure. The architectural style of the Banai region (fictitious place name), located in Guangxi, may have been influenced by the Dong drum tower, the Zhuang Ganlan-style architecture, and the ancient Chinese palace-style architecture.
1. Drum Tower of Dong nationality
The Dong Drum tower is usually a multi-storey tower building with an odd number of floors (such as 5, 7, 9 floors) and a pagoda shape at the top, symbolizing holiness and authority. The creation of Zhangjia ancient building may have borrowed from this tall and magnificent multi-storey design.
2. Zhuang Ganlan-style architecture
The ground floor of a ganlan-style building is usually elevated and used for raising livestock or storing goods, while the upper floor is used for living. Columnar architecture is based on wood, and the structure is simple but practical.
3. Ancient Chinese palace-style architecture
Traditional Chinese palace architecture pays attention to symmetrical layout, the central axis is clear, reflecting solemn and order. The cornice and dougong structure of the palace building is complex, with supporting and decorative functions.
