The last area to be explored is the Qinling Mountains in central China.
The geographical location and characteristics of Qinling Mountains are:
Location: It is located between 32° -34 ° north latitude, between Guanzhong Plain and Hanshui Valley in the south, and the watershed of Jialing River, Luohe River, Wei River and Hanshui River
Features: Mountain scale: stretching more than 1600 kilometers from east to west, up to 100-150 kilometers wide from north to south, huge scale.
Climate: It is the dividing line between the 800 mm iso-precipitation line, the humid zone and the semi-humid zone, and the 0℃ isotherm line in January, which blocks the water vapor of the Pacific Ocean in summer and the cold air of Siberia in winter, making the climate difference between the north and the south obvious.
Vegetation and animals: There is a reputation of "North-South plant collection, North-South biological species library", subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest to the south, temperate deciduous broad-leaved forest to the north, is the home of many rare animals and plants, with the national Taibai Mountain Nature Reserve and Foping Nature Reserve.
River: It is the watershed of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. The river in the south has abundant flow, little seasonal change, little sand content, long flood season, and no ice in winter; In the north, the flow is small, the seasonal change is large, the sand content is large, the flood season is short, and the winter is icy.
History and culture: Known as the "Chinese Dragon vein", it has a long history and witnessed the rise and fall of many dynasties, leaving a rich historical and cultural heritage, including Zhongnan Mountain and Huashan Mountain, which have profound cultural heritage.
First of all, according to the description, I did not search for photos, and first drew a concept map of the Qinling Mountains in my mind:
(Water colour)
After searching for relevant information and pictures of the Qinling Mountains, I found that the interior of the real Qinling Mountains could not see much sunlight, and the vegetation in the forest was very dense, as shown in the picture:

I realized that I couldn't just imagine or observe the real Qinling Mountains, I needed to combine it with the description in the book, which goes like this:
The Qinling Mountains region in "Tomb Raiding Notes" is full of mystery, and the following is a detailed description:
Geographical feature
Mountain terrain: Qinling mountains, mountains, such as Tianmen mountain on both sides of the cliffs, can not climb, there are strange cracks in the middle of the "one line day" that clamp ditch.
Jungle landscape: Undeveloped areas with virgin jungle and dense vegetation. Such as Wu evil and old itch into the jungle, along the way difficult, need to cross mountains and rivers
Special features: Clamp ditch such grotesque rocks, the bottom of the pile of rocks, on both sides of the spring, stones covered with green difficult to walk places.
Climate characteristics: some seasons are evil in the mountains, such as autumn is described as a dangerous season to enter the mountains, and there may be strange phenomena such as Yin soldiers.
As you can see, the description of Qinling Mountain area in the book is closer to the real mountain environment, and on this basis, I added some spooky colors, so I changed the overall tone of the sketch:
